Adapted from Betty Crocker Cookie Book
Ingredients:
1-C Butter
1-C Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp McCormick’s Vanilla
½ tsp Almond Extracts
½ tsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Salt
1 ½ tsp Xanthan Gum
2 ¾ Cups any Gluten-Free Flour Mixture
Add food coloring as desired –eg. green for trees
Directions:
COMBINE 1st four ingredients, then add dry ingredients, then food coloring
SPRAY “INSULATED” cookie sheet with “PAM” (optional)
Using Christmas Tree design, fill Cookie-press with dough (room-temperature).
Press out dough onto insulated cookie sheet enough so begins to stick to pan.
Tap parts together prior to baking. Decorate with colored sugar.
BAKE AT 375* for 9-14 MINUTES (Time will vary with oven.)
Cookies rise a bit! Remove from oven when edges barely turn brown.
Allow cooling briefly prior to moving from cookie sheet to wax paper.
Each batch makes about 40 cookies
